Benefits

Most gynaecological surgery is currently performed laparoscopically (keyhole). The best, clinically proven, advantages include a reduction of adhesions (scar tissue) inside the abdomen, much shorter hospital stays (in most cases the need to stay is just for a few hours) and a faster return to normal activities. There is also the added advantage of minimal scars on the skin, usually only 5mm in size. In fertility cases, this laparoscopic compared to open surgery is much more beneficial.

Equipment

We are equipped with the latest microtechnology for laparoscopic instruments allowing the finest movements to be performed with extreme accuracy and stability and, more importantly, safely. The camera systems used are of a high definition digital technology, offering us a wide angle and superb quality view of the abdominal cavity and the operating field.
